Sarova Panafric-my favorite of the two Sarova brand hotels in Nairobi. The Stanley was very nice and had history-prestigious, but the Panafric felt more my vibe. There were smiles on everyone’s faces as I was greeted when I entered. I met Jane, who would be my guide and show me the benefits of staying with them. There is a small seating area by the elevators where you can work, meet friends, even have your food in that area. The key card for your room is only keyed for the floor of your room and any public areas.

I started with a standard room and worked my way up. I loved that this hotel had an entire wing for women traveling by themselves. There were 6 rooms available and they were very strict about only women being on the floor. Of course they have the key card to allow them on to the floor, but there are also security cameras at each room’s door so the guest can see who is there. Inside is decorated towards women, with books and magazines that cater to them. The robes are plush and they provide blow dryers, straighteners and curling irons as well as feminine hygiene products. If there was a maintenance issue, a woman employee would be sent first to see if it was something she could fix. If a man had to be called, he would be accompanied by a woman to the room. I appreciated that they offered this option and it was so secure and protected.

The junior suite was next up-I was ready to move in. From the spaciousness to the balcony to being able to select what type of pillow to sleep on-I was all in on this one! The junior suite rents for roughly $500 USD/per night and includes fresh flowers and the mini bar. Take a friend and enjoy the luxury together!

The gym and spa rounded out the tour. The gym was well-equipped and had a daily workout plan with a trainer in case you didn’t know what to do or where to start. The spa was tranquil and each massage room was fitted with a restroom/changing room. There is an outdoor pool, an indoor restaurant and an outdoor restaurant. The staff was all very friendly. Standard rooms are budget friendly and still nice with access to all the amenities. I can definitely recommend a stay here and hope to experience it for myself in the near future.
