If you find yourself in Nairobi on a rainy day, I highly recommend the Museum of Illusions. It’s also great for spending a few hours out of the hot sun!
I think I first read about Museum of Illusions on a post of the top things to do in Nairobi. This was completely different than the slum tours or safaris and sounded fun. I’m not much for having to have the perfect Instagram picture, but the thought of this “museum” was intriguing. I did not purchase tickets online and had no problem getting them at the door. The day I went it was not very busy, my daughter did not have such luck the day she went-it was a little crowded, but again she had no problem getting tickets at the door.
With not many people there, I was able to take my time and explore everything. There are signs beside each illusion to try and explain it, but there are also plenty of staff scattered around to help and also take some pictures for you.

Take your time going through here because it’s easy to miss something. Enjoy it all, stop at everything and look behind every door. The price is reasonable and it’s a fun outing.
